Rámik adaptéra šachty disku icy dock MB092VK-B pre 2 x 6,3 cm U.2 / U.3 NVMe SSD do 3,5-palcovej šachty (čierny)

The icy dock MB092VK-B drive bay mounting frame converts a standard 3.5" drive bay into a compact dual U.2/U.3 NVMe SSD mounting solution. Designed to accommodate two 6.3 cm (25.4 mm) U.2/U.3 NVMe SSDs in a single 3.5" bay, the tray provides a space-efficient option for servers, workstations and storage-dense systems that require high-performance NVMe drives. The black metal and plastic construction is made to fit typical 3.5" drive bay dimensions while allowing easy access for installation and service.

Advantages

The mounting frame supports two U.2/U.3 NVMe SSDs in one standard 3.5" bay, enabling denser storage layouts without modifying the chassis. Tool-less insertion reduces installation time and simplifies drive swaps, while a secure fixation mechanism holds drives firmly to ensure reliable operation in server and workstation environments. The design maintains compatibility with 6.3 cm (25.4 mm) U.2/U.3 form-factor drives and is optimized for compact, high-performance NVMe storage deployments.

Suitable for

• Servers and rackmount systems requiring high-density NVMe storage
• Workstations with limited drive bays that need additional NVMe capacity
• Data centers and lab environments where rapid drive replacement is needed
• System builders integrating U.2/U.3 NVMe SSDs into standard 3.5" bays

Key specifications

• Compatible drive types: two 6.3 cm (25.4 mm) U.2/U.3 NVMe SSDs
• Host bay: standard 3.5" drive bay
• Form factor: dual-drive mounting frame for 3.5" bay conversion
• Material: metal and plastic construction for structural support
• Installation: tool-less insertion with secure fixation mechanism
• Color: black

How to use

Slide the icy dock MB092VK-B into an available 3.5" bay in your chassis and secure the frame according to the chassis mounting method. Insert each 6.3 cm U.2/U.3 NVMe SSD into the dedicated slot until it clicks into the tool-less retention mechanism, then verify that the drives are firmly seated and connected to the system’s U.2/U.3 connectors or adapter cables. For removal, release the retention mechanism and pull the drive out straight to avoid bending connectors. Follow your chassis and drive vendor instructions for power-down, hot-swap capability and connector orientation when performing installations or replacements.

Recommendations

Ensure your system’s motherboard or controller supports U.2/U.3 NVMe connections and that you have appropriate cabling or backplane connections before installing drives. For optimal cooling, place the mounting frame where system airflow passes through the 3.5" bay area and confirm that drive temperatures are within manufacturer-specified limits during sustained workloads.
