The Extralink Alcohol Markers Set 168 Pieces offers a wide palette of 168 blendable colors designed for illustration, sketching, coloring and other creative applications. These dual-ended, alcohol-based markers deliver vibrant ink and smooth layering, suited to both hobbyists and professional artists. For best results use with heavier sketch or mixed-media paper to minimize bleeding and preserve color integrity.

Advantages

These alcohol markers provide exceptional color blending for smooth transitions and realistic shading. The dual-ended design combines a brush-like tip for variable line widths with a fine tip for precise detailing, giving artists control over strokes and effects. The quick-drying, alcohol-based ink is vivid and comparable in performance to well-known marker brands, supporting consistent layering and professional-looking results.

How to use

Start by selecting colors and testing blends on a scrap of the same paper you will use for the final work. Use the brush-like tip to create broad strokes and smooth gradients, varying pressure to change line width; switch to the fine tip for outlines and detailed elements. Layer colors while the ink is still slightly damp for smoother transitions, or wait until dry for sharper edges. Replace caps after use to prevent drying and store horizontally to maintain ink balance across the set.

Recommendations

For optimal results, pair the markers with heavyweight sketchbook or mixed-media paper (recommended 160–300 g/m²). Work in light layers when blending and allow drying time between heavy layers to avoid oversaturation. Test color blends on scrap paper before applying to final artwork.
