Sada štetcov Staedtler 98940-SBK3 — okrúhle syntetické štetiny, 3-dielna

Staedtler 98940-SBK3 is a set of three round paint brushes with synthetic bristles, supplied in small, medium and large sizes. Designed for water-based and acrylic media, these brushes offer consistent paint flow and control for fine lines, washes and general painting tasks. The set is intended for artists, students and hobbyists who need reliable, easy-to-clean brushes for tempera, watercolour and mixed-media applications.

Advantages

The synthetic bristles provide good elasticity and dimensional stability, allowing the brush tips to return to shape after use. A plastic ferrule with drip protection helps keep fingers and work surfaces cleaner during painting. Brushes are colour-coded at the clamp for quick size identification, and the set covers a range of stroke widths with three round head sizes.

Suitable for

• Tempera and poster paints
• Watercolour and water-based acrylics
• Detail work, fine lines and washes
• School projects, hobby crafts and beginners
• Mixed-media applications requiring synthetic bristles

When it may not be suitable

These brushes are designed for water-based and acrylic media and may not perform optimally with aggressive solvents or oil-based paints. For professional oil painting or varnishing with solvent-based materials, brushes made specifically for oils are recommended. Very fine miniature work that requires extremely fine-point sable brushes may also be better served by natural-hair specialist brushes.

Key specifications

• Brush head shape: Round
• Bristle material: Synthetic

• Ferrule type: Plastic with drip protection

How to use

Choose the brush size appropriate to the task — small for fine detail, medium for controlled strokes and large for washes or filling areas. Wet the brush slightly before loading with paint for smoother flow, and remove excess paint on the palette or paper edge to avoid drips. Use round brush tips for both point work and broader strokes by changing pressure and angle. After use, rinse brushes thoroughly in water until paint is removed, reshape the bristles gently, and allow to dry horizontally or bristle-up to maintain shape.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended media: designed for water-based and acrylic paints, not for solvent-based oils
• Brush sizes included: small, medium and large — check if these sizes match your project needs
• Handle and ferrule materials: plastic components for easy cleaning and lightweight handling

Recommendations

For best results with tempera and watercolour, load the brush with a moderate amount of paint, use gentle strokes to preserve the round tip, and clean immediately after each painting session. Store the brushes dry with bristles shaped to extend service life.
