Advantages

This rotary hammer combines brushless motor technology with an SDS-Plus system to deliver consistent impact energy and longer tool life. Being part of the Power X-Change family ensures compatibility with 18 V batteries across the platform, enabling flexible use with other tools. The cordless design increases mobility on site and in confined spaces, while the compact form factor allows precise positioning when drilling or chiselling.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in concrete and masonry for anchors and fixings
• Light chiselling and removal of plaster or tiles
• Work in locations without mains power or where cable management is restrictive
• Trade professionals and serious DIY users needing a mobile SDS-Plus rotary hammer

Key specifications

• Drive system: SDS-Plus chuck for masonry bits and chisels
• Power supply: 18 V Power X-Change battery platform (battery sold separately)
• Motor type: brushless motor for higher efficiency and reduced wear
• Typical applications: drilling and light chiselling in concrete, brick and stone
• Design: cordless, compact housing for improved handling and access

How to use

Select the appropriate SDS-Plus drill bit or chisel and insert it into the chuck until it locks. Fit a compatible 18 V Power X-Change battery into the tool before operation. Choose the correct mode if the tool has selectable functions (drill, hammer drill, or chisel) and set the required speed or impact rate where available. Apply steady pressure without forcing the tool; allow the impact mechanism to do the work. For chiselling, use controlled short bursts and reposition frequently to avoid overheating the bit and the motor.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as safety goggles, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling or chiselling masonry. Choose SDS-Plus bits rated for concrete and replace worn accessories promptly. For extended tasks, use batteries with sufficient capacity from the Power X-Change range and allow the tool to cool periodically to maintain performance.
