Seagate Enterprise ST10000NM018B interný pevný disk 10 TB 7200 RPM 256 MB 3,5 palcov SAS

The Seagate Enterprise ST10000NM018B is a 3.5" SAS internal hard drive offering 10 TB of raw storage capacity. Built for data center and enterprise servers, the drive spins at 7,200 RPM and includes a 256 MB buffer to support sustained throughput and lower latency for large datasets and mixed workloads. Its mechanical design and MTBF rating are intended to meet the availability and reliability expectations of continuous, multi-user environments.

Advantages

This Seagate 10 TB SAS drive delivers a balance of high capacity and performance, suitable for applications that require large sequential transfers and consistent random I/O. The 7,200 RPM spindle speed combined with a 256 MB cache reduces read/write latency and improves responsiveness under load. The enterprise-class durability and a specified mean time between failures make the drive appropriate for rack-mounted servers and storage arrays where uptime and data integrity are required.

How to use

Install the 3.5" SAS HDD into a compatible server, storage enclosure or RAID array with a supported SAS controller. Ensure the drive bay and mounting hardware match the 3.5" form factor and that the system firmware and driver stack support enterprise SAS devices. Configure RAID or volume settings according to your data protection and performance requirements, and perform initial formatting and filesystem creation as required by your operating system. Follow standard procedures for hot-swap insertion or removal if the chassis supports it.

Recommendations

For optimal longevity and performance, operate the drive within the manufacturer’s recommended temperature and vibration limits, use error-correcting filesystems or RAID for redundancy, monitor SMART attributes and health status regularly, and ensure proper airflow and chassis cooling in dense server environments.
