shiverpeaks BASIC-S sieťový kábel zelený 3 m Cat6 S/FTP RJ-45

The shiverpeaks BASIC-S networking cable Green 3 m Cat6 S/FTP RJ-45 is a 3-metre Ethernet patch cable designed for wired network connections where Cat6 performance and improved shielding are required. The cable features S/FTP (screened foil twisted pair) shielding around individual pairs and an overall braid to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Both ends are terminated with standard RJ-45 plugs for compatibility with switches, routers, patch panels and network devices. The green jacket provides clear visual identification in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction offers enhanced protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk compared with unshielded cables, improving signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. Cat6 performance supports Gigabit Ethernet and higher frequency bandwidths suitable for typical office and home networking requirements. Standard RJ-45 terminations ensure broad device compatibility and straightforward installation. The 3 m length balances reach and reduced signal attenuation for common patching and workstation connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers within offices, data racks and home networks
• Patch panel to switch or wall outlet to workstation connections in structured cabling
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielded cables are beneficial
• Color-coded cable management and identification in multi-cable installations

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil around each pair)
• Length: 3 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Green jacket
• Supported data rates: Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps) and compatible with higher-frequency Cat6 applications

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding ports on network devices such as switches, routers, patch panels or network interface cards. Ensure connectors are fully seated and locked to maintain a stable physical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and areas of strong electromagnetic interference; maintain proper bend radius as recommended for Ethernet cables. For installation in racks or conduits, secure the cable with cable ties or management accessories without compressing the jacket or shielding.

Recommendations

Use the green Cat6 S/FTP cable for short to medium-length patching where shielding is needed; avoid running it parallel and in direct contact with sources of strong electrical noise such as power cables when possible. Inspect RJ-45 connectors for damage before use and replace any cable showing visible wear to preserve network performance.
