Sieťový kábel Extralink CAT5E FTP (F/UTP) 50M čierny

The Extralink CAT5E FTP (F/UTP) 50M Black network cable provides a 50-metre length of shielded twisted-pair cabling suitable for Ethernet installations. Engineered for high-speed data transmission, the cable uses CAT5E performance characteristics with foil shielding around the overall bundle to reduce external electromagnetic interference. The black outer jacket is described as durable and appropriate for routing in exposed or visible runs where a darker finish is required.

Advantages

The foil-shielded (FTP / F/UTP) construction offers improved protection against crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded alternatives, supporting more stable signal integrity over longer runs. The CAT5E specification ensures compatibility with common Ethernet speeds and networking equipment while the 50 m spool length accommodates medium-distance connections without the need for joins. The durable jacket provides mechanical protection and a consistent appearance for both home and small office deployments.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for home networks
• Office LAN cabling and workstation connections
• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels within 50 m runs
• Installations where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT5E
• Shielding: FTP (foil around overall cable) / F/UTP
• Length: 50 metres
• Conductor type: twisted pair copper conductors
• Outer jacket colour: black
• Typical application: Ethernet networks (twisted-pair)

How to use

Measure the required run length and unspool the cable carefully to avoid kinks. Terminate the cable with compatible RJ45 connectors or keystone jacks rated for CAT5E and shielded cable if maintaining the foil shield continuity is necessary. When terminating, take care to preserve the foil shield and connect it to the equipment ground or shielded connector body as appropriate. Route the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible, and secure it with appropriate clips or cable management accessories to prevent strain on terminations.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid exceeding the 50 m run length for a single segment between active devices. Use shielded connectors and maintain shield continuity when installing in environments with high EMI. Test the completed link with a network cable tester to verify wiring, continuity and performance before finalising the installation.
