Sieťový kábel Extralink Twisted pair CAT5E FTP Outdoor 305m čierny

The Extralink Twisted pair CAT5E FTP Outdoor 305m Black is an outdoor-rated network cable supplied on a spool. It has a soft copper conductor arranged as four twisted pairs, wrapped with a water-blocking gel tape and an overall foil shield (F/UTP) to reduce electromagnetic interference. The black outer sheath is suitable for exposed installations and the cable is specified for installation temperatures from -15°C to +60°C, with an operational range after installation from -50°C to +60°C. It supports transmission frequencies up to 250 MHz.

Advantages

This CAT5E FTP cable combines twisted-pair copper conductors with foil shielding and a water-blocking gel tape to provide improved protection against moisture and electromagnetic interference. Supplied on a 305 m spool, it is convenient for long outdoor runs and installations in ducts, collectors, or on building exteriors. The temperature ratings allow installation in cold and warm conditions and a wide operational temperature range after deployment.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This cable is designed for outdoor and duct installations and includes gel filling and foil shielding; it is not intended for direct burial without appropriate additional protection from mechanical damage and prolonged ground contact. It also does not include pre-terminated connectors, so connectors or patch panels will be required for endpoint termination.

Key specifications

How to use

Run the cable along the intended route in ducts, collectors or fixed along building exteriors, avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress. Terminate the ends using appropriate RJ45 connectors or patch panels suitable for FTP cables, ensuring the foil shield is properly connected to the connector or grounding point to maintain shielding effectiveness. If the cable will be exposed to mechanical damage or direct burial, install additional protective conduit or trays.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid kinking the cable, maintain bend radii recommended for twisted-pair cables, and ensure the foil shield is properly grounded at one point to reduce interference. Store and install within the specified temperature range and protect the cable from prolonged mechanical abrasion or direct contact with wet soil unless additional protection is applied.
