Sieťový kábel METZ CONNECT 1308451502-E 1,5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The METZ CONNECT 1308451502-E 1.5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed wired LAN connections. With Cat6a specification and S/FTP construction it supports data rates up to 10 000 Mbit/s and is suitable for demanding network environments. The cable is terminated with RJ‑45 plugs on both ends and is finished in a violet jacket for clear visual identification in cabling installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity over the full length. Cat6a performance ensures support for 10 Gigabit Ethernet at typical installation distances, while the 1.5 m length offers a compact, flexible connection between devices. The pre-terminated RJ‑45 connectors simplify installation and the coloured jacket helps with cable management and identification in racks and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, switches and routers within office or home networks
• Patch connections in server rooms and network cabinets
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, VoIP and large file transfers
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and reliable data transmission

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Maximum data rate: up to 10 000 Mbit/s
• Length: 1.5 m
• Connectors: RJ‑45 on both ends
• Colour: violet

How to use

Insert each RJ‑45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices (for example between a switch and a computer or between a patch panel and a switch). Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic noise. For best performance, maintain recommended bend radius and avoid excessive tension on the cable during installation.

Recommendations

Use the METZ CONNECT Cat6a S/FTP cable for short interconnections where 10 Gigabit performance and shielding are required. Keep the cable away from mains power lines and strong RF sources, and replace cables that show visible damage to the jacket or connectors to preserve signal quality.
