Sieťový kábel METZ CONNECT 13084F5000-E 5 m Cat5e S/UTP čierny

The METZ CONNECT 13084F5000-E 5m Cat5e S/UTP Black networking cable is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for reliable data transmission in local area networks. This cable uses the Cat5e specification to support Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet at typical short to medium distances. Both ends are equipped with RJ-45 connectors and the S/UTP (screened/unscreened twisted pair) construction provides basic protection against external electromagnetic interference while keeping a compact cable diameter in a black jacket for a discreet appearance.

Advantages

The shielded S/UTP design reduces interference from nearby electrical equipment and cabling, improving signal stability compared with unshielded alternatives in environments with moderate EMI. A 5 meter length offers flexibility for connecting devices across a small office, workstation, or home network. The RJ-45 terminations on both ends ensure plug-and-play compatibility with switches, routers, patch panels, network interface cards, and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The black outer jacket resists visible dirt and blends into professional installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, printers and network devices to switches or routers
• Patch connections in small office or home network setups
• Short to medium length links where Cat5e performance is sufficient
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where screened cable is preferable

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Shielding: S/UTP (screened overall, twisted pairs unscreened)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Black
• Typical supported speeds: up to 1 Gbps at appropriate distances

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your network device and the other plug to a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks. For optimal performance avoid sharp bends, prolonged compression, or running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines. Route the cable along tidy paths using cable clips or tie mounts to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

The cable is suitable for indoor networking installations. For installations requiring higher throughput, longer runs, or enhanced shielding, consider appropriate higher-category or fully shielded alternatives. Regularly inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show visible wear.
