Sieťový kábel shiverpeaks BASIC-S 15 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 15 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a stranded data cable designed for high-speed wired connections in home and office networks. With Cat7 performance and S/FTP shielding, this 15-metre cable supports stable data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts to maintain reliable connectivity and resist wear over time. Its white jacket gives a discreet, clean appearance suitable for visible runs in living rooms, workspaces, or server cabinets.

Advantages

Cat7 classification and S/FTP shielding deliver improved crosstalk and EMI protection compared with lower-category cables, supporting high bandwidth and consistent signal quality. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide better conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term use. The 15 m length allows flexible placement of devices without needing additional extenders, while the durable outer jacket provides mechanical protection during installation and everyday use.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, NAS, and network printers to routers or switches
• Home network backbones and office structured cabling segments
• High-bandwidth applications such as large file transfers, streaming, and video conferencing
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and stable connections

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 15 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: White
• Conductor type: stranded (flexible) conductors

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring gentle bends and avoiding sharp kinks. Plug RJ-45 connectors firmly into device ports until the latch clicks. For wall runs or through cable management channels, secure the cable with Velcro straps or clips to prevent strain on connectors. When connecting to patch panels or switches, verify link lights on devices to confirm successful connection and negotiate the highest available speed automatically.

Recommendations

Avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage power lines to minimize potential interference. For installations that require permanent hidden routing, allow extra length for termination and slack. Inspect connectors periodically and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage.
