Sieťový kábel shiverpeaks BASIC-S oranžový 20 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Orange 20 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for reliable wired connections over long distances. Constructed to Cat7 specifications, this 20-metre cable supports high-speed data transmission and features RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent signal transfer and corrosion resistance. The S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) design reduces electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference for more stable network performance in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Its bright orange jacket makes the cable easy to identify and route within server rooms, offices, or home networks.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat7 rating and S/FTP shielding deliver improved bandwidth capacity and noise reduction compared with lower-category cables, supporting demanding network applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and minimize contact resistance over time. The 20 m length provides flexibility for connecting devices across larger rooms without additional patching. The durable outer jacket and precise connector terminations contribute to long-term mechanical and electrical stability.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between switches, routers and workstations in offices and data closets
• Home network backbones and connections to network-attached storage (NAS)
• Audio/video streaming or gaming setups that require low-latency wired links
• Environments with multiple cables or equipment where shielding reduces interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 20 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Conductor type: stranded or solid copper conductors suitable for Ethernet signaling (check installation requirements)
• Jacket color: orange

How to use

Route the cable between the devices to be connected and insert the RJ-45 plugs into the corresponding Ethernet ports. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that strain is minimized at termination points to avoid damage. For runs near power lines or other potential sources of interference, keep separation where possible and use the cable’s shielding to maintain signal integrity. For permanent in-wall installations, verify local building codes and, if required, use cables rated for in-wall or plenum installation.

Recommendations

Use the ShiverPeaks Cat7 S/FTP cable for backbone connections or whenever robust shielding and a 20 m reach are required. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force during installation; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius. If mixing with different cable categories, test link performance to confirm expected throughput and latency.
