Sieťový kábel shiverpeaks BASIC-S oranžový 1 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S networking cable is a 1 m Cat7 S/FTP patch cable with RJ-45 connectors designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. This cable features gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and resist corrosion, and S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. The bright orange jacket makes the cable easy to identify and manage in cable runs and patch panels.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding provides strong protection against crosstalk and external interference, supporting stable throughput for demanding network applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure consistent signal transfer and longer connector life. The 1 m length is convenient for short links between devices such as switches, routers and wall ports, while the Cat7 specification supports high-frequency signals and improved overall performance compared with lower category cables.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels in small office or home network setups
• Short patch connections in server racks and telecommunication cabinets
• High-speed data links for multimedia streaming, online gaming and large file transfers
• Visible cable runs where color coding simplifies identification and maintenance

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7 (Class F)
• Length: 1 meter
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Contacts: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Conductor: Twisted pair copper conductors (solid or stranded depending on manufacturer standard)
• Jacket color: Orange

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plugs into the appropriate Ethernet ports on devices such as switches, routers or network interface cards until the latch clicks. Ensure both ends are securely seated and avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable that could degrade signal quality. For best results in rack installations route the cable along cable management channels to reduce strain and maintain shielding integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance keep cable runs within recommended lengths for the application, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines, and use proper cable management to prevent excessive bending. Verify device compatibility with Cat7 cabling where necessary and test links after installation to confirm throughput and link integrity.
