Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks BS08-41050-4 Cat8.1 5m F/FTP sivý

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41050-4 Cat8.1 5m F/FTP Grey is a high-performance networking cable designed for demanding data transmission needs. Compliant with Cat8.1 standards, this 5-metre cable provides a robust connection between network devices using RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Its F/FTP shielding construction reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting reliable link quality in dense or electrically noisy environments while maintaining the convenience of a standard RJ-45 termination.

Advantages

F/FTP shielding combines an overall foil wrap with individually shielded pairs to improve noise rejection and signal integrity over short-range, high-speed links. The Cat8.1 specification allows the cable to support significantly higher frequencies and bandwidth compared with earlier categories, enabling faster data rates and lower latency for compatible equipment. A 5-metre length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack, switch-to-server, or workstation connections while the grey jacket provides neutral appearance suitable for office or data centre deployments.

Suitable for

• High-speed server and switch interconnects in data centres and server rooms
• Short-run backbone links where low latency and high bandwidth are required
• Network equipment labs and test environments requiring reliable shielded cabling
• Workstation to wall-plate or patch panel connections in commercial environments

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 performance class suitable for high-frequency transmission
• Shielding: F/FTP – overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs
• Length: 5 metres for flexible short-range connections
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends for standard Ethernet ports
• Jacket colour: Grey for neutral installation appearance

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network device port and the other to the target device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully seated and locks engage to maintain a secure mechanical connection. For best signal performance, avoid tight bends and coiling beyond the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius and keep the cable clear of high-power electrical lines to minimise interference despite the shielding. Use appropriate cable management to prevent strain on the connectors during installation.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short-length, high-bandwidth links where shielded performance is needed. Verify that connected equipment supports the targeted data rates and that patch panels and connectors are compatible with Cat8 performance to achieve expected throughput and signal integrity.
