Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks BS08-85107 CAT 8 S/FTP 2000 MHz 25 m modrý

The ShiverPeaks BS08-85107 CAT 8 S/FTP network cable in blue is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed, high-bandwidth connections. With a 25 m length and support for frequencies up to 2000 MHz, this cable provides robust transmission characteristics for demanding network environments. Its S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individual foil shielding around each twisted pair to minimise crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, helping maintain signal integrity over longer runs and at higher data rates.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP shielding reduces both near-end and far-end crosstalk and offers enhanced protection against external EMI, which is important in server rooms and data centre racks with dense cabling and active equipment. Its CAT 8 specification supports high data throughput and low latency for applications requiring stable, low-jitter connections. The 25 m length provides flexibility for backbone runs, patching between racks, or linking equipment across larger rooms while the blue jacket facilitates visual identification in mixed-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Backbone and horizontal cabling in data centres and server rooms
• High-performance LAN links for switches, routers and patch panels
• Low-latency connections for virtualization, storage area networks (SAN) and high-frequency trading setups
• Environments with significant electromagnetic interference where additional shielding is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT 8
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil per pair)
• Bandwidth: up to 2000 MHz
• Length: 25 metres
• Colour: blue
• Conductor type: twisted pairs (shielded)

How to use

Install the cable by routing it through cable management pathways or conduits suitable for shielded network cabling. Terminate each end with compatible CAT 8 or shielded RJ45 connectors and ensure the connector shields are properly bonded to equipment grounding points to maintain the effectiveness of the overall braid. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force to preserve the cable’s electrical characteristics; maintain recommended bend radius and secure the cable to prevent strain on terminations.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, pair this CAT 8 S/FTP cable with shielded network components (shielded jacks, patch panels and switches) and ensure a continuous ground connection across the link. Use the cable for runs where high bandwidth and minimal interference are required, and label both ends for easy identification during maintenance.
