Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks BS75205-100SSP

The ShiverPeaks BS75205-100SSP is a 100 m Cat5e networking cable with SF/UTP (S-FTP) shielding in a neutral grey color. Designed for structured cabling in homes and offices, this cable supports standard Ethernet data rates associated with Cat5e and is intended to provide stable wired connections while reducing electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference through its braided shielding and foil-wrapped pairs.

Advantages

The SF/UTP (S-FTP) construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foil-wrapped pairs to improve resistance to external interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. A 100 m reel length enables continuous runs without joins for many typical installation scenarios. The Cat5e specification ensures compatibility with existing Gigabit-capable networks and common Ethernet hardware, while the grey sheath offers a neutral appearance that fits residential and commercial interiors.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Wired Ethernet connections in homes and small offices
• Structured cabling for workstations, routers and switches
• Runs requiring reduced electromagnetic interference or improved signal integrity
• Temporary or permanent installations where a 100 m continuous cable length is needed

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e
• Shielding: SF/UTP (overall braided shield + foil-wrapped pairs)
• Length: 100 m
• Color: Grey
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors

How to use

Cut the required length from the reel or use the full 100 m run where appropriate. Strip the outer sheath carefully to expose the twisted pairs, taking care not to nick the conductor insulation. Terminate the cable using compatible RJ45 plugs or patch panels designed for Cat5e and shielded cabling, ensuring the shield is properly connected to grounding points as recommended for shielded installations. Test continuity and signal quality with a cable tester after termination and before connecting active equipment.

Recommendations

For best performance, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic noise. Maintain bend radii recommended for twisted-pair cable and avoid excessive tension when pulling. Ensure proper grounding of the shield at one or both ends according to local installation practices to maximize interference suppression.
