Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks BS75715-B 5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-B 5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides a shielded, high-performance connection for wired networks. Designed for environments that require reliable high-speed data transfer, this 5-meter cable uses Cat6a specification and S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and support higher bandwidths compared to lower-category cables. The cable comes in blue and terminates with RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable combines enhanced shielding with quality connectors to deliver stable throughput and reduced crosstalk in mixed-device setups. The gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure consistent electrical contact and extended connector life. With a 5 m length, the cable balances reach and neat cable management for desktop, rack, or wall-mounted installations. The S/FTP design helps maintain signal integrity in environments with nearby power cables or electronic equipment.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between PCs, switches, routers, and networked devices in home or small office networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers
• Rack-to-desk or patch panel connections in structured cabling within small server rooms or closets
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus individually foiled twisted pairs)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue
• Suitable bandwidth: Up to 500 MHz (Cat6a performance class)
• Intended use: Ethernet network connections up to 10 Gbps depending on network hardware and installation

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (computer, switch, router or modem) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of excessive heat; maintain gentle curves and avoid kinking to preserve internal pair geometry. For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel for long distances alongside high-voltage power lines.

Recommendations

For best results in 10 Gbps networks, use short, direct runs and proper termination at patch panels or keystone jacks where applicable. Verify compatibility with network hardware and perform link testing after installation to confirm negotiated speed and signal quality.
