Sieťový switch TRENDNET TPE-BG380 8-portový 2.5G PoE++

TRENDNET TPE-BG380 8-port 2.5G PoE++ is a compact network switch that provides eight Ethernet ports with per-port 2.5 Gigabit capability and Power over Ethernet (PoE++) support. Designed for small office and network edge deployments, the switch enables higher-than-gigabit connections for devices that need increased bandwidth while supplying power over Ethernet to compatible devices. The unit consolidates data and power delivery on a single cable, reducing the need for separate power adapters and simplifying installation in constrained spaces.

Advantages

The switch offers multi-gigabit connectivity on every port, allowing connected devices to benefit from up to 2.5G speeds without replacing existing Cat5e cabling in many installations. PoE++ support allows the switch to power a range of devices that require higher power levels over Ethernet, which simplifies cabling and centralizes power management. Its compact form factor and straightforward port layout make it suitable for edge deployments where rack space or closet space is limited.

Suitable for

• Small office networks requiring higher-than-Gigabit connections for workstations or servers
• Wireless access point deployments that need multi-gig uplinks and PoE power
• IP camera installations with higher bandwidth demands and PoE power requirements
• Network edge setups where consolidated data and power over Ethernet reduce cabling

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 8 Ethernet ports
• Per-port speed: up to 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
• Power over Ethernet: PoE++ support for connected devices
• Form factor: compact, desktop or shelf-mount suitable

How to use

Install the switch on a stable surface or in a small shelf space near your network equipment. Connect each device using standard Ethernet cables; devices that support 2.5G will negotiate the higher link speed automatically. Connect powered devices using PoE-capable ports to deliver data and power through the same Ethernet cable. Ensure the switch is connected to a suitable uplink or router to provide access to the wider network and internet as required. Follow local electrical and network cabling guidelines during installation.

Recommendations

Place the TRENDNET TPE-BG380 in a ventilated location away from direct heat sources. Use quality Ethernet cables that meet or exceed Cat5e specifications to achieve 2.5G links. Verify connected devices are PoE-capable before relying on switch-supplied power, and plan total power budget accordingly to avoid overloading the switch’s PoE capacity.
