Sieťový vysielač a prijímač PLANET IVC-234GPT — 4-portový 1G Ethernet PoE na VDSL2 extender, hliník/modrá

PLANET IVC-234GPT is a network transmitter and receiver designed to extend Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) over VDSL2 links. Housed in an IP30 aluminium enclosure with aluminium/blue finish, the compact unit provides four 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports with integrated IEEE 802.3af/802.3at PoE injector functionality, plus one RJ11 phone jack and one BNC connector for VDSL2 transmission. The device converts and forwards Ethernet and PoE over existing coaxial cable or telephone wire to enable long-distance connectivity for remote IP devices.

Advantages

The IVC-234GPT supports VDSL2 Super Vector profiles and G.vector/G.INP features to deliver high-rate, low-interference Ethernet over legacy copper infrastructures. It can supply up to 30.8 W per PoE port with an aggregate PoE budget up to 120 W while preserving Gigabit Ethernet performance on the RJ45 ports. The unit is designed for quick installation with plug-and-play operation, multiple mounting options and wide-range DC power input with reverse-polarity protection for reliable industrial deployment.

Suitable for

• Extending network connectivity and PoE power to IP cameras over existing coaxial or telephone wiring
• Supplying remote wireless access points and VoIP phones where new cabling is impractical
• Point-to-point long-reach Ethernet links in campuses, warehouses and multi-building sites
• Replacement/migration of analog coax/telephone infrastructures to digital triple-play services

When it may not be suitable

This extender requires a matching VDSL2-compatible unit at the far end for point-to-point operation and is not a replacement for full routed or managed switch functions. It is intended for layer-2 extension and PoE forwarding rather than for advanced layer-3 routing, extensive VLAN management or high-density switching in a core network.

Key specifications

• Four 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 Ethernet ports with IEEE 802.3af/at PoE injector support
• One RJ11 phone connector and one BNC connector for VDSL2 transmission
• VDSL2 profiles: ITU-T G.993.2 (Profile 17a/30a/35b) with G.vectoring and G.INP (ITU-T G.993.5)
• Maximum symmetric throughput up to 200/200 Mbps; asymmetric up to 300/100 Mbps (mode-dependent)
• PoE output up to 30.8 W per port and total PoE budget up to 120 W
• Remote power feeding capability up to 100 m over Ethernet cabling
• Power input range: 12–54 V DC with redundant power capability and reverse polarity protection
• Operating temperature range: -40 °C to 75 °C
• IP30 aluminium housing; DIN-rail, wall-mount or side wall-mount options
• Supports up to 1.4 km point-to-point extension over suitable copper cabling

How to use

Install one IVC-234GPT at each end of the copper/coaxial link and set one device to CO mode and the other to CPE mode using the built-in DIP switch. Connect the local network or PoE source to the RJ45 ports on the CO-side unit; connect the remote devices to the RJ45 ports on the CPE-side unit. Use the RJ11 or BNC connector for the VDSL2 uplink on each unit as required. Monitor port and system LEDs during setup to verify link status and PoE delivery. For PoE devices, confirm PD compatibility (802.3af/at) and ensure the aggregate PoE budget is not exceeded.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure a VDSL2-capable counterpart (CO or CPE) is available at the far end for point-to-point operation
• Verify that existing coaxial or telephone wiring quality and distance meet the required throughput for your use case
• Confirm total PoE power requirements of all connected devices do not exceed the 120 W budget
• Check environmental and mounting requirements against the IP30 aluminium housing and operating temperature range

Recommendations

For stable high-speed links, select symmetric or asymmetric VDSL2 mode according to whether upstream or downstream performance is more critical; enable vectoring-compatible equipment where available and use quality coaxial or RJ11 wiring. Place the CO unit near the central power source and use the wide-range DC input to provide redundant power if needed. Verify PoE budgets and monitor LEDs during initial deployment to ensure proper operation.
