Sim-racing volant Asetek SimSports GT Rim Closed D koža oranžový

The Asetek SimSports GT Rim Closed D leather orange is a purpose-built sim racing wheel rim finished in orange leather with a closed D-shape profile. Designed for attachment to compatible sim racing hubs and steering bases, the rim provides a compact diameter and a flat-bottom section that promotes consistent hand placement and improved visibility of dashboard displays. The leather cover offers a textured grip surface suited to prolonged sessions in racing simulators and driving rigs.

Advantages

The Closed D profile reduces the rim’s curvature at the bottom, which helps maintain a stable hand position during quick steering inputs and reduces unintended wrist rotation. The leather covering balances grip and comfort, remaining tactile while resisting rapid wear compared with synthetic surfaces. The orange finish improves visual contrast in cockpit setups and assists with quick orientation of wheel rotation during competitive use.

Suitable for

• Sim racing rigs and cockpit setups requiring a compact GT-style rim
• Racing simulator sessions focused on wheel control and steering precision
• Users who prefer a flat-bottom or D-shaped rim for better pedal and seat clearance
• Replacement or upgrade of compatible sim racing hubs and steering bases

Key specifications

• Shape: Closed D (flat-bottom)
• Cover material: Leather
• Color/finish: Orange leather surface
• Compatibility: Mounts to compatible sim racing hubs and steering bases (verify hub compatibility before purchase)
• Application: Intended for sim racing and driving simulators

How to use

Mount the rim to a compatible sim racing hub or steering base following the hub manufacturer’s instructions and torque specifications. Ensure the wheel is aligned straight before tightening fasteners and verify that any wiring or quick-release mechanism is correctly connected. After installation, perform a calibration in your simulator software so steering angle and center position match the rim orientation. Clean leather surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow to dry fully before use.

Recommendations

For best results, check hub compatibility and mounting hardware dimensions prior to installation. Regularly inspect mounting bolts for tightness and maintain the leather with gentle cleaning to preserve grip and appearance. Avoid exposing the leather to direct sunlight for prolonged periods to reduce color fading.
