The Canon imageFORMULA DR-M1060II is a compact, energy-efficient A3 sheet-fed scanner designed for reliable, high-volume document capture. With a 600 x 600 DPI CIS sensor and RGB LED light source, it delivers consistent image quality for a wide range of media including business and plastic ID cards. The device supports duplex scanning, an 80-sheet automatic document feeder and a daily duty cycle suitable for intensive office use.
The DR-M1060II offers fast duplex scanning up to 120 images per minute and supports mixed document handling with selectable U-turn or Straight Path feeding. Advanced image-processing functions such as Advanced Text Enhancement, Auto Colour Detection, Auto Size and Deskew Correction, Text Orientation Correction and Customised Colour Dropout improve output consistency. The scanner is lightweight and compact for an A3 device, uses more than 20% recycled materials and is packaged with environmentally friendly materials.
Place the scanner on a stable, level surface and connect it to power and a compatible computer following the user manual. Load documents into the 80-sheet automatic document feeder, selecting the desired paper path (U-turn for standard stacks or Straight Path for thick or plastic cards). Configure scan settings such as resolution, colour mode and image-processing options in the supplied capture software, then start scanning. For long documents, ensure correct alignment and use the Straight Path when required.
Use the Straight Path for plastic or embossed ID cards and long documents up to 3 m, and select the U-turn Paper Path for standard paper stacks. Regularly clean the CIS sensor and rollers according to the maintenance instructions to maintain image quality and feeding reliability. For large daily volumes, follow the recommended duty cycle and perform routine checks on the automatic document feeder to prevent jams.
