Sklenená ochrana zváraného spoja optického vlákna 2 mm Digitus 45 mm

Digitus Fiber Optic Shrink Splice Protection is a transparent heat-shrink sleeve designed to protect fusion splices of two 2 mm fiber optic cables. Each sleeve measures 45 mm in length and is supplied in packs of 100 units. The product provides mechanical protection and environmental isolation for the splice point while maintaining a compact profile suitable for standard splicing applications.

Advantages

These transparent splice protectors are dimensioned for 2 mm fibers and shrink when heated to form a tight protective layer around the splice. The 45 mm length gives sufficient coverage for typical fusion splices, while the lightweight design supports easy handling during installation. Supplied in bulk packs of 100, they are suitable for repetitive splicing tasks and organized inventory management.

Suitable for

• Protection of fusion splices on 2 mm fiber optic cables
• Telecommunications and data center fiber maintenance
• Field and workshop splicing where compact, transparent protection is required

How to use

Slide the shrink splice protection over the fiber before performing the fusion splice so the sleeve can be moved into position after splicing. After the fibers are spliced and the joint is secured, position the sleeve centrally over the splice and apply heat evenly along its length using a suitable fusion splice heater or heat gun, following the heater manufacturer's instructions. Allow the sleeve to cool so it adheres and forms a protective, sealed coating around the splice.

Recommendations

Use a controlled heat source designed for fiber splice sleeves to ensure even shrinkage and avoid overheating the fiber. Verify that the sleeve size (2 mm) is compatible with the cable buffer diameter before installation.
