Okulár Skywatcher SWA-58 3,2 mm 1,25 palca – širokouhlý astronomický okulár

Skywatcher SWA-58 3.2 mm 1.25" is a compact wide-angle astronomical eyepiece designed for use with telescopes that accept 1.25" focusers. With a short 3.2 mm focal length it delivers high magnification suited to detailed lunar and planetary observation. The SWA-58 optical layout provides a wide apparent field of view and ergonomically considered eye relief that helps maintain visual comfort during extended observing sessions and when conducting high-resolution planetary imaging.

Advantages

The eyepiece combines a small form factor with a wide apparent field of view, enabling precise targeting of surface details on the Moon and planets while keeping the instrument lightweight and easy to handle. Its 1.25" barrel makes it widely compatible with most amateur telescopes, and the optical design balances high magnification with sufficient eye relief to reduce strain. The construction is suitable for quick changes between eyepieces and for use with focal reducers and Barlow lenses when adapting magnification or field of view.

Suitable for

• High-magnification planetary observation
• Lunar surface detail studies
• Visual astronomy sessions requiring compact eyepieces
• Planetary imaging where short focal eyepieces are used with camera adapters or eyepiece projection

Key specifications

• Focal length: 3.2 mm
• Barrel diameter: 1.25 inches
• Wide apparent field of view (SWA-58 optical design)
• Compact physical size and lightweight construction
• Designed for high magnification and close focus detail observation

How to use

Insert the 1.25" barrel into the focuser of a compatible telescope and secure it with the focuser thumbscrews. Begin observing at a low magnification to locate the target, then switch to the SWA-58 3.2 mm eyepiece for high-power viewing of planets or lunar features. Adjust the focuser for a sharp image and position your eye to match the eyepiece eye relief; use a comfortable observing posture or an adjustable chair for extended sessions. When imaging, use appropriate adapters for eyepiece projection or afocal methods and ensure the camera is aligned with the eyepiece optical axis.

Recommendations

For best results, use the eyepiece with telescopes that offer stable tracking and adequate aperture to support high magnification. Atmospheric seeing conditions strongly affect performance at 3.2 mm focal length; choose nights with steady seeing for detailed planetary observing. Handle the optics carefully, store in a protective case when not in use, and clean the lenses only with proper optical tools and techniques.
