Refraktorový optický tubus Skywatcher 200 mm apertúra 1000 mm ohnisková vzdialenosť (OTA) SW-1003

Skywatcher refractor optical tube with a 200 mm aperture and 1000 mm focal length (OTA SW-1003) is a large-aperture refractor optical tube assembly designed for astronomical observation and astrophotography when mounted on a compatible equatorial or alt-azimuth mount. The combination of a 200 mm objective and a relatively short 1000 mm focal length delivers a bright image scale suitable for detailed views of the Moon, planets and brighter deep-sky objects while remaining convenient for wide-field imaging applications.

Advantages

The optical tube provides increased light-gathering power compared with smaller refractors, improving contrast and resolution on faint structures. Its focal ratio produces a balance between magnification and field of view that is useful for visual observing and camera sensors. The OTA design is intended for integration with a variety of mounts and accessory trains, enabling users to choose eyepieces, field flatteners or focal reducers appropriate to their observing or imaging needs.

Suitable for

• Visual observation of lunar and planetary details
• Imaging of bright deep-sky objects and wide-field nebulae
• Astrophotography with DSLR or dedicated astronomy cameras when paired with guiding and mounts
• Use by experienced amateur astronomers and semi-professional setups

Key specifications

• Optical design: refractor (achromatic or apochromatic details depend on specific model configuration)
• Objective aperture: 200 mm
• Focal length: 1000 mm
• Approximate focal ratio: f/5
• Optical tube assembly intended for use with separate mount and accessories

How to use

Attach the optical tube to a stable equatorial or alt-azimuth mount rated for the tube's mass and length using the provided dovetail or mounting rings. Balance the assembly, install an appropriate diagonal and eyepiece for visual work or a camera adapter and sensor for imaging. Perform coarse focusing with the focuser and refine focus using a Bahtinov mask or live-view focusing method for cameras. For long-exposure astrophotography, use autoguiding and a polar-aligned equatorial mount to reduce tracking errors.

Recommendations

Pair the Skywatcher 200 mm OTA with a mount that has sufficient payload capacity and low periodic error for photometric stability. Use field-flattening optics for large-format sensors and a robust focusing solution to compensate for temperature changes during sessions.
