SSD disk Crucial 1TB M.2 PCI Express 5.0 NVMe CT1000T705SSD3

Crucial T705 PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD delivers next-level Gen5 performance for gaming, content creation and AI workloads. With extremely high sequential read and write speeds and compatibility with motherboard heatsinks, the drive is engineered to fit into M.2 slots and provide sustained performance for demanding tasks while remaining compatible with PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 systems.

Advantages

The T705 provides blistering sequential read/write speeds up to 14,500/12,700 MB/s, offering nearly twice the performance of many Gen4 SSDs without a proportional increase in power consumption. It accelerates real-world tasks — faster OS boot, quicker application launches, and improved file copy times — and supports heavy workloads including AI applications. The drive is designed for easy installation with motherboard heatsink compatibility and includes a copper-clad label to help transfer heat to the board; an integrated heatsink option is also available.

Key specifications

• Interface: PCIe Gen5 NVMe (backward compatible with PCIe 4.0 and 3.0)
• Sequential read speed: up to 14,500 MB/s
• Sequential write speed: up to 12,700 MB/s
• Form factor: M.2 (heatsink-ready for motherboard heatsinks; integrated heatsink option available)
• Compatibility: Designed for Intel Core 13th–14th Gen and AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs

How to use

Install the Crucial T705 into an available M.2 slot on a compatible motherboard and secure it according to the motherboard manufacturer’s instructions. If your motherboard uses a heatsink, align the drive so the copper-clad label contacts the board’s heatsink surface for effective heat transfer; if using the integrated heatsink model, follow the included installation steps. After physical installation, initialize and format the drive in the operating system, then install your OS or migrate data as required. Ensure system BIOS/firmware is up to date for optimal Gen5 support.

Recommendations

For maximum sustained performance, pair the T705 with motherboards that explicitly support PCIe Gen5 M.2 slots and keep BIOS/firmware updated. Use the motherboard heatsink or the integrated heatsink option to maintain lower operating temperatures during heavy workloads such as gaming, content creation, or AI processing.
