SSD puzdro Icy Dock MB601M2K-1B čierna 3,5 palca

The ToughArmor MB601M2K-1B is a 3.5" SSD enclosure that accepts a single M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and provides removable, rugged protection while supporting the full NVMe bandwidth of 32 Gbps. Constructed with a full-metal chassis and tray, it offers enhanced heat dissipation, vibration protection, and a durable connector rated for thousands of insertions when used with the enclosure. The enclosure fits all standard M.2 PCIe NVMe lengths (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, 22110) and includes features such as LED status indication, a keyed lock, integrated dust cover, thermal pads with an aluminum heat sink, and rear metal support brackets for connector protection.

Advantages

The product provides a removable M.2 NVMe mobile rack design that enables safe hot-swap style drive changes without exposing fragile M.2 PCBs or relying on the SSD’s native connector durability. Its rugged full-metal construction and integrated heat sink improve thermal performance and extend component life. The enclosure uses a U.2 (SFF-8639) NVMe connector to deliver the full 32 Gbps NVMe transfer rate and includes a high-durability connector rated for many more insertions than bare M.2 connectors. Additional practical features—LED activity indicator that powers off when no drive is present, keyed lock, dust cover, and rear support brackets—help protect drives and connectors during use and transport.

Suitable for

• Enterprise servers and data centers requiring fast NVMe removable storage
• Photography, video and media professionals needing high-speed portable drives
• System maintenance and IT workflows that require quick drive swaps
• In-vehicle PCs, rugged or industrial environments where physical security and shock resistance matter

Key specifications

• Form factor: 3.5" enclosure for 1 x M.2 NVMe SSD
• Interface support: M.2 PCIe NVMe via U.2 (SFF-8639) connector
• Maximum data transfer: 32 Gbps (NVMe full bandwidth)
• Supported M.2 lengths: 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, 22110
• Material: Metal chassis and tray with integrated aluminum heat sink and thermal pads
• Color: Black
• Weight: 0.546 kg

How to use

Install an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD into the tray and secure it using the adjustable M.2 locker that clips into the SSD screw hole; no separate screws are required. Insert the tray into the 3.5" bay until the SFF-8639 connector seats; the rear metal support brackets guide and protect the connector during insertion and removal. The built-in LED indicates power and activity; the LED is off when no drive is installed. Lock the tray with the included key if physical security is needed. For compatibility with U.2 drives, use the compatible ToughArmor MB601VK-1B tray interchangeably where supported.

Recommendations

Use the enclosure in a chassis with adequate airflow to assist passive heat dissipation. Avoid disconnecting the tray by pulling at an angle; use the rear support brackets as a guide to minimize stress on the SFF-8639 connector and ensure long-term connector reliability.
