Stojan Cullmann Primax 380

The Cullmann Primax 380 tripod is a compact support system engineered for digital and film cameras with a maximum load capacity of 3.5 kg. It covers a practical working height range from 62 cm to 159 cm and combines a lightweight construction of 1.535 kg with a stable three-leg design. Finished in black, the Primax 380 is intended to provide a balance of portability and steadiness for a variety of photographic situations.

Advantages

The tripod offers a wide height range that accommodates low-angle and elevated shots while remaining easy to transport due to its low mass. Its three-leg layout ensures dependable stability on level surfaces, and the maximum payload supports most compact and mid-size camera bodies with standard lenses. The product colour and build provide a discreet appearance suitable for studio and field use.

Key specifications

• Maximum load capacity: 3.5 kg
• Maximum height: 1590 mm
• Minimum height: 620 mm
• Weight: 1.535 kg
• Number of legs: 3
• Colour: Black

How to use

Extend the legs to the required height and secure each leg lock to ensure the tripod is rigid. Mount the camera on the tripod head or quick-release plate according to the camera and head interface, then check that the camera is safely fastened. Adjust the centre column if fine height correction is needed and level the tripod using any built-in spirit level or by eye. Before shooting, verify that all leg sections and head adjustments are tightened to prevent movement during exposure or recording.

Recommendations

Use the Primax 380 on stable, flat surfaces and avoid exceeding the 3.5 kg load limit. When working outdoors in windy conditions, lower the tripod height and, if possible, add a payload to the centre column hook or use a sandbag to improve stability. For transport, collapse the legs and secure the locks to protect moving parts.
