Subwoofer Omnitronic AZX-118 450W aktívny PA subwoofer, 18" reproduktor

The Omnitronic AZX-118 powered PA subwoofer delivers focused low-frequency reinforcement with a high-capacity 18-inch driver and 450W nominal output. Built for live sound, DJ rigs and fixed installations, the unit provides reliable bass extension to complement full-range loudspeakers. The cabinet construction emphasizes durability and acoustic performance while onboard amplification and balanced XLR connections simplify setup and integration into PA systems.

Advantages

The integrated Class-D amplifier provides efficient 450W nominal power to the 18-inch driver, producing controlled and punchy low end with reduced thermal stress. A rigid, acoustically braced enclosure minimizes unwanted resonances and improves transient response. Balanced XLR input and output connectors enable easy connection to mixers and satellite speakers, while the powered design removes the need for external amplifiers. Front-facing grille and durable finish protect the driver for use in touring and club environments.

How to use

Place the AZX-118 on a stable surface or subwoofer stand with adequate ventilation around the amplifier section. Connect a mixer or audio source to the balanced XLR input and, if required, use the XLR output to link to full-range speakers. Adjust input gain and any onboard level controls to blend the subwoofer output with the main speakers, avoiding excessive input levels to prevent clipping. For live setups, position the subwoofer near the front-of-house or stage area to achieve cohesive low-frequency coverage.

Recommendations

Use low-pass filtering or the crossover settings of your PA system to integrate the subwoofer smoothly with satellite speakers; start with a crossover around 80–120 Hz and refine by ear based on the venue acoustics. Avoid placing the subwoofer directly against reflective walls for best transient response, and allow occasional cooling breaks during extended high-output use.
