Switch TENDA TEG1120P-16-150W PoE+ Gigabit 16x 1Gb/s, 135W PoE rozpočet

TENDA TEG1120P-16-150W is a PoE+ Gigabit switch with 16 copper 1 Gb/s ports and an aggregate PoE budget of 135W. It delivers simultaneous data and power over Ethernet to compatible devices, enabling centralized deployment of networked equipment without separate power supplies. The compact rack/desktop-friendly form factor and fixed-port design make this switch suitable for small office, retail and surveillance networks that require reliable Gigabit connectivity and Power over Ethernet support.

Advantages

The switch supports PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) power delivery across multiple ports, allowing connection of IP cameras, wireless access points and VoIP phones with standardized power management. With full Gigabit ports it ensures high-bandwidth links for video streams and data transfers. The integrated PoE budget of 135W provides predictable power allocation to connected devices while eliminating the need for individual power adapters. The device is designed for plug-and-play operation with basic traffic forwarding, minimizing configuration time for standard deployments.

Suitable for

• IP surveillance systems with multiple PoE cameras
• Wireless access point deployment in small offices or retail
• VoIP phone systems requiring centralized power
• Edge network aggregation where Gigabit uplinks are needed

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 16 x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 copper ports
• PoE standard: IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af
• Total PoE power budget: 135 W
• Switching capacity: Gigabit layer-2 switching for all copper ports
• Form factor: Desktop or rack-mountable with fixed ports
• Auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX on copper ports

How to use

Install the switch on a stable surface or mount it in a rack space according to available mounting options and ventilation requirements. Connect the switch to the network uplink using one of the Gigabit copper ports. Attach PoE-capable devices to the remaining RJ45 ports; the switch will negotiate power delivery automatically per the PoE standard. Power the switch from the AC input and verify the port LEDs to confirm link and PoE status. For basic deployments no additional configuration is required; for integrations with managed network equipment, place the switch within the network topology and configure upstream devices as needed.

Recommendations

Plan power allocation according to device power requirements so the combined consumption does not exceed the 135W PoE budget. Use high-quality Cat5e or Cat6 cabling for reliable Gigabit performance and to support PoE power delivery. Place the switch in a ventilated area and avoid stacking multiple powered devices directly on top to maintain thermal performance. For larger or security-critical installations, consider UPS protection for both data continuity and powered device uptime.
