Overland-Tandberg 1,5-HE rackmount QuadPAK pre 1–4 externé RDX mechaniky, 19 palcov, čierny

The Overland-Tandberg 1.5U Rackmount QuadPAK is a compact rack enclosure designed to hold between one and four external RDX drives in a standard 19" rack. Finished in black, the unit occupies 1.5U of rack space and offers a tidy, secure mounting option for removable-media backup drives in server rooms and backup appliance installations.

Advantages

The QuadPAK provides a simple and affordable way to consolidate up to four external RDX drives into a single 1.5U rack unit, reducing clutter and improving drive accessibility. Its steel enclosure and fixed dimensions make it suitable for standard server racks and wall-mounted rack installations, while the black finish blends with common datacentre equipment.

Suitable for

• Organising removable-media RDX backup drives in a 19" rack
• Small to medium server rooms and backup appliance installations
• Environments that require a compact 1.5U mount for multiple external drives

When it may not be suitable

The QuadPAK is intended only as a mechanical rack enclosure for external RDX drives and does not include drives, power distribution, or active cooling features beyond passive ventilation. It may not be suitable where integrated power, hot-swap bays, or airflow-managed enclosures are required.

Key specifications

• Compatible drives: 1–4 external RDX drives
• Rack size: 19" standard
• Rack unit height: 1.5U (72.5 mm)
• Width: 481 mm
• Depth: 248 mm
• Weight: 2.66 kg
• Colour: Black

How to use

Mount the QuadPAK into a standard 19" rack using appropriate screws and rails for a 1.5U space. Install one to four external RDX drives into the enclosure according to the drive manufacturer’s instructions and secure them mechanically. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit and route external power and data connections to each installed drive as required by the drive models.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure the intended RDX drive models are external units that fit mechanically into the QuadPAK
• Confirm available 1.5U space in the target rack and clearance for 481 mm width and 248 mm depth
• Plan for power and data cabling for each drive, since the enclosure does not supply these

Recommendations

Install the QuadPAK in a properly grounded rack, leave clearance for airflow, and follow Overland-Tandberg guidance for mounting external RDX drives to maintain reliable backup and restore operations.
