Insulated carafe MELITTA 16718 2.2 L Silver Black – Thermal Beverage Server is a stainless-steel insulated jug with a 2.2 litre capacity designed for keeping drinks hot or cold during prolonged use. The carafe combines a silver metallic body and black ergonomic elements, a pour spout for drip-free serving, and a sealed lid to reduce heat transfer and preserve beverage temperature. It is intended for everyday domestic use as well as for office, meeting or catering environments where practical temperature retention and reliable pouring are required.

Advantages

The insulated construction of the carafe minimises heat loss and helps maintain beverage temperature for hours without relying on external power. The 2.2 L capacity accommodates multiple servings, reducing the need for frequent refills in group settings. A well-engineered pour spout and handle deliver controlled pouring and comfortable handling, while the sealed lid limits spills and slows down cooling. The silver and black finish provides a neutral appearance suitable for both professional and home settings.

How to use

Preheat the carafe with hot water before adding freshly brewed coffee or tea to improve initial heat retention; for cold beverages, pre-chill with cold water or ice. Open the lid, pour in the beverage, then close the lid securely. Use the handle and pour spout to serve directly from the carafe. To refill, allow a short interval for the lid to be safely opened if the contents are under pressure from heat. Clean the interior regularly following the manufacturer's guidance to avoid buildup of residues.

Recommendations

For best temperature retention, fill the carafe as close to the desired serving temperature as possible and minimise the number of lid openings during service. Clean by hand with a soft brush and mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners and dishwasher cycles that may affect seals or finishes.
