Uhlová brúska Metabo W 18 L 9-125 Quick Set

The Metabo W 18 L 9-125 Quick Set is a cordless angle grinder with a brushless motor, designed for versatile grinding and cutting tasks. It accepts 125 mm (12.5 cm) discs, delivers up to 8,500 rpm no-load speed and operates from an 18 V lithium‑ion battery. Weighing approximately 1.6 kg and finished in Metabo green, the tool emphasizes compact ergonomics and cordless mobility. Three batteries are included to extend runtime and reduce interruptions on the job.

Advantages

The brushless motor provides improved efficiency and longer service life compared with brushed motors while maintaining high rotational speed for effective material removal. Tool-free Metabo Quick disc change and an adjustable tool-free guard simplify setup and switching between tasks. Safety features include electronic safety shutdown to reduce kickback, electronic soft start for smooth spin-up and restart protection to prevent unintentional starts after battery replacement. The slim grip design and low weight support comfortable handling during prolonged use.

Suitable for

• Grinding and rust removal on metal surfaces
• Cutting metal pipes, rebar and sheet metal with 125 mm discs
• Surface preparation before welding or painting
• On-site work where cordless operation is required
• Tasks requiring frequent disc changes and quick guard adjustments

Key specifications

• Disc diameter: 125 mm (12.5 cm)
• No-load speed: up to 8,500 RPM
• Power source: 18 V lithium‑ion battery
• Weight: approx. 1.6 kg
• Motor type: brushless

How to use

Fit an appropriate 125 mm disc using the Metabo Quick quick-locking nut for tool-free disc changes and adjust the guard without tools to the required position. Insert a charged 18 V battery and engage the switch; the electronic soft start will ramp up speed smoothly. Apply the grinder to the workpiece with light, even pressure and maintain control to avoid side loading. If the disc jams, the electronic safety shutdown reduces kickback; release the switch and check the disc before restarting. Use restart protection procedures when changing batteries to prevent unintended starts.

Recommendations

Use suitable cutting or grinding discs rated for 125 mm and for the material being worked. For prolonged heavy-duty grinding, prefer high-capacity LiHD or equivalent 18 V battery packs to maintain consistent performance. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, secure the workpiece and ensure the guard is positioned correctly before operating. Replace worn discs and inspect the tool regularly for damage.
