USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 4-port hub od GEMBIRD UHB-CM-U310-C4-01

The GEMBIRD USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 4‑port hub (model UHB-CM-U310-C4-01) expands a single USB‑C/Type‑C port into four downstream USB ports, allowing connection of external drives, keyboards, mice and other USB accessories. Designed for use with laptops, tablets and compact desktop systems that support USB‑C hosts, the hub supports high-speed data transfer at USB‑C 3.2 Gen 2 rates and provides a compact, bus-powered solution for multiplying available USB connections.

Advantages

This USB‑C hub offers four additional USB ports in a single compact enclosure, enabling simultaneous connection of multiple peripherals without requiring multiple adapters. Support for USB‑C 3.2 Gen 2 ensures higher sustained data throughput compared with older USB generations, which is beneficial when transferring large files to and from external drives. The hub is bus-powered through the host USB‑C port, eliminating the need for an external power supply for typical peripheral usage, while its slim footprint is suitable for mobile workflows.

How to use

Connect the hub's USB‑C plug to the host device's USB‑C/Type‑C port and then attach downstream USB devices to the hub's ports. The host operating system should detect connected peripherals automatically and enumerate storage devices for file access. For best results when transferring large amounts of data, connect external drives directly to the hub and ensure the host's USB‑C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds. When multiple high-power devices are attached, check device operation as bus power is distributed from the host.

Recommendations

Use the hub with a host that explicitly supports USB‑C data connectivity and USB 3.2 Gen 2 performance to achieve the highest transfer rates. Avoid connecting many high-power-draw devices simultaneously without an external powered hub or an alternative power source, and keep firmware and drivers of the host system up to date for optimal compatibility.
