USB-C/A adaptér SANDBERG 136-68 s 2,5-GbE-RJ45 ethernetovým portom

SANDBERG 136-68 is a compact USB-C/USB-A adapter that adds a 2.5 GbE RJ45 Ethernet port to devices without a built-in wired network interface. The adapter attaches to laptops, tablets or desktops via USB-C or via USB-A when used with a compatible cable or adapter, delivering higher-than-gigabit wired speeds for stable local network access. It is intended for users who require reliable wired connectivity for video calls, large file transfers, online collaboration and low-latency network tasks.

Advantages

The adapter provides up to 2.5 Gbps Ethernet throughput over a single RJ45 port while remaining bus-powered from the host device. Its dual compatibility with USB-C and USB-A connections allows flexible use across modern ultrabooks and older systems. The small form factor and plug-and-play operation minimize setup time and carry footprint, while hardware support for standard Ethernet features improves interoperability with existing network equipment.

Suitable for

• Adding wired network access to ultrabooks and tablets without Ethernet ports
• Improving bandwidth for video conferencing and streaming
• Transferring large files over a local area network
• Home office, small office and hybrid workplace setups requiring stable connectivity

Key specifications

• Network interface: RJ45 Ethernet supporting 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps modes
• Host interface: USB-C; compatible with USB-A when used with appropriate cable/adapter
• Power: Bus-powered from host USB port (no external power supply required)
• Form factor: Compact external adapter, lightweight and portable
• Compatibility: Works with common operating systems that support USB Ethernet adapters (driver availability may vary)

How to use

Connect the SANDBERG 136-68 to the host device using a USB-C port or a USB-A port with a suitable cable/adapter. Plug a standard Ethernet cable into the RJ45 connector and into the network switch, router or wall outlet. The adapter is bus-powered and does not require an external power source. On most systems the adapter will be recognized automatically; if necessary, install or update the appropriate driver according to the operating system instructions to enable full 2.5 GbE performance.

Recommendations

For best results use Category 5e or higher Ethernet cables and ensure network infrastructure (switches, routers, cabling) supports multi-gigabit speeds. When using with older USB-A ports, check that the host port bandwidth and driver support permit higher throughput; connecting through hubs may limit achievable speeds. Keep device firmware and drivers updated for compatibility and security.
