Building up on the success of the P14 PWM, the P14 Max extends the controllable speed to an impressively wide range from 400 rpm up to 2800 rpm. This enables a quiet operation when low airflow is needed and also an unprecedented level of performance on heatsinks and radiators. The P14 Max provides a significant performance boost to existing air and water cooling solutions.

0 dB Mode — Zero rpm

The fan speed can be throttled down to standstill via PWM. This allows silent operation in IDLE and at the same time guarantees maximum performance when required. Thus, the P14 Max allows an incomparably dynamic adjustment of the speed, so that the airflow can be perfectly regulated for every case.

Improved Stability

The P14 Max features a closed fan wheel design. The advantage of this fan wheel combination is a pressure stability without compromise. In scenarios with high pressure resistances and higher speeds, the force effect is distributed uniformly over the entire fan wheel and enables low-vibration rotation while maintaining high static pressure.

Maximum Smoothness, Minimum Vibration

Even at low speeds the operating sound of the new ARCTIC motor is barely noticeable. Due to a sinus-magnetizing the new motor only creates about 5 % of the vibration from commutation of a regular DC-motor without filter. The rubber pads mounted at the corners additionally dampen the residual vibrations caused by the higher revolutions.

Virtually Silent due Fluid Dynamic Bearing

As a special feature, the P14 Max is equipped with ARCTIC's proven Hydrodynamic Bearing. This enables the virtually silent operation at low speeds that customers have been asking for. At maximum speed, brute performance is still guaranteed. Although these bearings tend to wear out, ARCTIC does not compromise on durability and still offers the 6-year warranty.

How to use

Mount the ARCTIC P14 Max into a standard 140 mm fan slot in your PC case or onto a compatible radiator using the supplied screws or vibration-dampening mounts if available. Connect the fan to a compatible 3- or 4-pin header on the motherboard or to a fan controller to manage speed within the 400–2800 RPM range. Ensure airflow direction is set correctly for intake or exhaust depending on your cooling layout and verify secure cable routing to avoid interference with other components.

Recommendations

For balanced cooling and noise, configure the fan in PWM-controlled setups or use a fan curve that keeps idle speeds low and allows higher RPMs under load. When using multiple fans, maintain consistent airflow direction and consider push/pull arrangements on radiators to improve thermal performance.
