Video kábel adaptér VGA D-Sub ShiverPeaks BS14-05009

The ShiverPeaks BS14-05009 Video Cable Adapter VGA D-Sub connects a male VGA (D-Sub) source to a DisplayPort input, enabling compatibility between legacy VGA devices and modern DisplayPort displays. Packaged in a polybag, this adapter is intended to provide a straightforward physical interface where direct connections are otherwise incompatible. It supports standard analog VGA signals and is designed for simple, temporary or permanent integration into desktop, laptop, or projector setups that require VGA-to-DisplayPort connectivity.

Advantages

This adapter provides a compact and low-complexity solution for linking VGA-equipped devices to DisplayPort monitors or projectors without requiring a complete equipment replacement. The male VGA connector maintains the familiar D-Sub form factor, allowing easy attachment to VGA cables or VGA-out ports on older graphics hardware. Being packaged in a polybag keeps the adapter protected during storage and transport while minimizing packaging bulk.

Suitable for

• Connecting VGA-equipped computers or laptops to DisplayPort monitors
• Using legacy projectors with DisplayPort-only video sources
• Temporary setups in meeting rooms, classrooms, or trade show booths

Key specifications

• Connector type: VGA (D-Sub) male to DisplayPort interface
• Signal supported: analog VGA
• Packaging: polybag
• Brand: ShiverPeaks

How to use

To use the adapter, connect the male VGA end to a VGA cable or VGA output on the source device and plug the DisplayPort end into the monitor or display's DisplayPort input. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the physical connection, then power them on and select the appropriate input on the display. Confirm display settings on the source device to match the capabilities of the monitor or projector. If the display does not show an image, verify cable seating and compatibility of the source's VGA output with the DisplayPort input.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for standard-resolution analog VGA signals; for advanced digital display features or higher-resolution requirements, consider a dedicated active converter. Avoid exposing the adapter to moisture or extreme temperatures and handle connectors by their bodies to prevent strain on cable terminations.
