The ShiverPeaks BS77498-1 is a 10 m video cable adapter with a DisplayPort connector on one end and a DVI connector on the other. Designed to connect a DisplayPort output to a DVI display, this black cable provides extended reach for desktop and AV setups while maintaining a straightforward single-cable connection for video signals. The cable is supplied in a polybag for compact storage and transportation.

Advantages

This 10 m DisplayPort to DVI adapter offers a long reach suitable for flexible device placement and cable routing. The combination of a DisplayPort plug and a DVI plug supports compatibility between modern graphics outputs and legacy DVI monitors or projectors. Its single-cable design reduces clutter and simplifies setup. The black outer sheath provides a neutral appearance that blends with most installations.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 10 m
• Connector 1: DisplayPort
• Connector 2: DVI
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort end to the DisplayPort output on the source device and the DVI end to the DVI input on the target display. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the physical connection to prevent signal issues. After connecting, power on the display and the source device, then select the appropriate input on the monitor or projector if required. Adjust resolution and refresh rate in the source device's display settings to match the capabilities of the DVI display.

Recommendations

For optimal signal reliability over the 10 m length, keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic interference sources such as large power transformers or unshielded power bundles. Use the cable in environments where the DVI display supports the desired resolution; if higher resolutions or audio transmission are required, consider a native DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort connection or an active adapter designed for higher bandwidths.
