Plug the 3.5 mm minijack into the display’s or speaker’s audio input if separate analog audio is required. Power on both devices and set the display to the VGA input; many source devices will detect the external display automatically. Adjust the source device output resolution to 1920 x 1080p or lower if required by the display.

Recommendations

For stable image and sound, avoid excessive cable bending and keep cable runs away from strong electromagnetic sources. If no video appears, verify the source output settings and confirm the display supports the chosen resolution. This passive converter carries HDMI video to VGA and analog audio; it does not add scaling or advanced signal processing.
