Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This socket is rated IP44, which protects against splashing water but is not fully waterproof for continuous immersion or direct heavy water jets. It is intended for typical garden and patio environments rather than harsh marine or constantly wet locations. For higher protection requirements or specialised installations, a higher IP-rated or purpose-built outdoor power solution may be more appropriate.
