How to use

Install the AS Schwabe heating cable along the length of the pipe to be protected, following the manufacturer's installation instructions and local electrical codes. Secure the cable to the pipe with appropriate self-amalgamating tape or clips at regular intervals, ensuring even contact. Do not overlap the cable on itself. Electrical connection to a 230 V supply should be performed by a qualified electrician and, where required, used together with a thermostat, temperature controller or residual current device as specified by applicable standards.

Recommendations

For reliable frost protection, select a cable length appropriate to the pipe run and insulate the pipe and cable after installation to improve efficiency. Regularly inspect the cable and connections for damage before each winter season and follow local regulations for electrical installations.
