Wild Country Superlight Offset Rocks sada 5-10 - 6-dielna pasívna horolezecká ochrana

On a committing trad line where the crack tapers and the gear gets fiddly, the Wild Country Superlight Offset Rocks 5-10 set gives you six offset nuts that slot into constrictions where standard nuts won't sit. The asymmetric geometry matches flared placements, and the hot-forged aluminium heads bite securely into granite, limestone, or gritstone. Each nut is colour-coded for quick size identification and threaded on a Dyneema sling that stays supple in cold conditions, while the stainless steel wire resists kinking. Weighing just 165 g for the entire set, this rack of offsets disappears on your harness until you need that bomber placement.

Why choose it

The offset profile is the real advantage here. When a crack flares or a seam pinches, a standard nut can sit on a single point of contact, but these offset rocks engage on two planes for a more stable placement. The hot-forged aluminium is light yet durable, and the Dyneema sling is thinner and stronger than nylon, reducing bulk on your rack. Each size is anodised in a distinct colour, so you can grab the right nut without fumbling. With strengths from 7 to 10 kN, they cover a wide range of protection needs for trad climbing, from delicate micro-placements to solid finger locks.

Ideal use cases

• Trad climbing on flared cracks and pin scars
• Supplementing a standard nut set for tricky placements
• Alpine routes where weight matters
• Building anchors in less-than-parallel rock
• Climbing on limestone or gritstone with irregular features

Good to know

These nuts meet the EN 12270 standard for passive protection, so they've been tested for strength and durability. The Dyneema sling is not adjustable, but the stainless steel wire can be bent to customise the angle for awkward placements. Because the set covers a specific range, it pairs well with the standard Superlight Rocks or larger offset sizes for a complete rack. Always inspect the wire and sling for damage before each use, and retire any piece that shows signs of wear.
