XLR konektor ShiverPeaks BS55002-S čierny, 3-pólový samčí audio konektor

The ShiverPeaks BS55002-S Black is a 3-pin XLR male audio connector designed for terminating microphone and balanced audio cables. It features the standard three-contact XLR layout in a durable metal housing with a black finish and a locking mechanism to secure the connection. The connector is intended for use in live sound, studio recording, broadcast, and public address systems where a reliable balanced audio connection is required.

Advantages

The metal housing provides mechanical strength and shielding against external interference while the black finish offers a low-visibility aesthetic for stage and studio environments. The standard 3-pin contact configuration ensures compatibility with common XLR cables and female counterparts. A positive locking latch prevents accidental disconnection, and the compact form factor makes the connector suitable for tight installations and cable runs.

Suitable for

• Microphone terminations for live performance and studio recording
• Balanced audio connections in mixers, preamps, and audio interfaces
• Patch bays and stage box wiring
• PA systems and broadcast equipment

Key specifications

• Contact arrangement: 3-pin XLR male
• Housing material: metal with black finish
• Locking mechanism: positive latch for secure connection
• Intended cable type: balanced audio/microphone cable
• Form factor: compact inline male connector

How to use

Prepare the balanced audio cable by stripping the outer jacket and exposing the three conductors (hot, cold, and ground) according to standard wiring conventions. Insert and solder or crimp each conductor to the corresponding pin of the 3-pin male connector following the pin numbering for XLR. Assemble the housing around the connector and secure it with the provided screws or fastening method. Verify the locking mechanism engages properly with the mating female connector and test continuity and polarity with a cable tester or audio device before deployment.

Recommendations

Use strain relief and proper cable routing to reduce mechanical stress on soldered or crimped joints. For permanent installations, verify connector seating and periodically inspect the housing and latch for wear or corrosion. When working in noisy electrical environments, maintain short unshielded conductor lengths and ensure the cable shield is properly grounded to minimize interference.
