Replacement back cover and expansion module for Zebra tablets, model ZBK-ET5X-10SCN7-01, designed for 10.1-inch ET51/ET5X Windows tablets and compatible with the SE4770 scan engine. This rear panel provides a mounting surface for the integrated SE4770 1D/2D area imager and includes a rotating hand strap to support handheld scanning. The module attaches to the tablet’s rear housing to add scanning capability while preserving the tablet display, buttons and connectivity.

Advantages

The integrated SE4770 area imager reads both 1D and 2D barcodes across a wide operational range, enabling reliable close-up and extended-distance captures. The rotating hand strap improves ergonomics and grip for mobile scanning tasks, reducing the chance of drops and supporting one-handed operation. The cover is engineered to fit the ET5X 10.1-inch Windows tablet for a compact, factory-aligned installation that maintains the tablet’s mobility and accessory interfaces.

Suitable for

• Inventory counting and stock management
• Retail point-of-sale and price verification
• Field service and deliveries requiring mobile scanning

How to use

Align and attach the back cover/expansion module to the rear of a compatible ET5X 10.1-inch Windows tablet following the tablet manufacturer’s mounting alignment and fastener points. Secure the rotating hand strap to the cover and adjust it to fit the user’s hand for comfortable one-handed scanning. Launch the tablet’s scanning or data-capture application, aim the imager at the barcode until the scanner indicates a successful read, and let the application capture the decoded data. For longer-distance reads, position the tablet so the barcode remains within the stated operational range.

Recommendations

Use the rotating hand strap to improve grip during extended scanning tasks, and ensure the tablet firmware and scanning software are up to date to maintain decoding accuracy and overall performance.
