7-kolíkový konektor pre príves AS Schwabe 60463 s otvorenými koncami káblov, 7-kolíkový elektrický konektor

7‑Pole Trailer Plug AS Schwabe 60463 with Open Cable Ends is a 7‑pin electrical connector designed for trailer and towing electrical systems. Supplied with open cable ends for direct wiring, it provides a compact and robust interface for connecting trailer lights, indicators and auxiliary power circuits to a towing vehicle. The plug is intended for secure integration into vehicle or trailer harnesses where a permanent or semi-permanent wired connection is required.

Advantages

The design enables direct wiring to existing harnesses without the need for additional socket adapters, reducing connection points and potential failures. The seven contacts support standard trailer functions including tail lamps, brake lights, indicators and a dedicated circuit for reverse or auxiliary power. Durable contact housings and a stable outer shell help maintain electrical continuity in road conditions. Open cable ends allow flexible cable selection and length adaptation to match individual installation requirements.

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer sheath and individual conductors to the required length. Insert each conductor into the corresponding terminal according to the vehicle and trailer wiring diagram, securing with the recommended crimp or solder method and any provided fastening screws. Ensure proper insulation and strain relief for the open cable ends before fitting the plug into the mating socket. After wiring, check continuity and correct function of lights and signals with a multimeter or by connecting to the towing vehicle and operating each circuit.

Recommendations

Use heat shrink tubing or appropriate cable grommets to protect exposed conductors and improve strain relief. Verify wiring colors and pin assignment against vehicle and trailer documentation prior to final installation. Periodically inspect contacts for corrosion and ensure screws or crimps remain tight to maintain a reliable electrical connection.
