ACT CAT5E SF/UTP LSZH lanko 500 m sivý kábel

The ACT CAT5E SF/UTP LSZH stranded 500 m Grey Cable is a 500-metre network cable with S/FTP shielding and LSZH jacket material. Designed for structured cabling, this CAT5E cable provides balanced electrical characteristics for Ethernet networks while the LSZH outer sheath reduces toxic fumes in case of fire. The product is sold on a reel and has no pre-attached connectors, allowing termination to suit site requirements.

Advantages

The S/FTP (screened foiled/ungrounded twisted pair) design offers improved protection against electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded cables. The stranded conductor construction gives greater flexibility for routing and installation in confined spaces. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket minimizes smoke and halogen emissions, improving safety in indoor and public environments. The grey colour provides a neutral appearance for professional installations.

Suitable for

• Office and campus horizontal cabling
• Patch panels and wall outlets where custom termination is required
• Environments where reduced smoke and halogen emissions are preferred

How to use

Measure and cut the required cable length from the 500 m reel, then strip the outer jacket and prepare the individual pairs for termination. Terminate to RJ45 plugs, keystone jacks or patch panels following CAT5E wiring standards (TIA/EIA 568A or 568B) and verify connections with a cable tester. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference; secure with appropriate cable management accessories.

Recommendations

For reliable network performance, use certified connectors and test each run after termination. Observe bend radius limits and avoid compressing the cable under heavy objects. The LSZH jacket is suitable for indoor installations and locations where reduced smoke and toxic gas emission is required.
