The ADATA HV620S external hard drive provides up to 4TB of portable storage in a slim 2.5" form factor. With a glossy black finish and an 11.5mm-thin profile, the drive connects via a Micro-USB B interface compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) for broad device compatibility and faster transfers where supported. A raised lip protects the surface from scratches, and an LED indicates data transfer activity.

Advantages

The HV620S combines high capacity with a compact, lightweight design (0.23 kg), making it easy to carry in a briefcase or backpack. Its slim 11.5mm profile and glossy surface offer a professional appearance while the raised edge reduces surface scratching. The drive supports universal connectivity through Micro-USB B and both USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 standards for compatibility across older and newer systems. A blue LED shows read/write status to help avoid accidental disconnection during transfers.

How to use

Connect the HV620S to your computer using the supplied Micro-USB B cable. If connected to a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, transfers will be faster; the drive remains compatible with USB 2.0 ports at lower speeds. The OS should recognize the drive automatically; use your operating system’s file manager to copy, move or back up files. Wait for the blue LED to stop blinking before disconnecting to ensure read/write operations are complete.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, place the drive on a flat, stable surface and avoid unpredictable movement during data transfers. Regularly back up important files to an additional location and safely eject the drive from the operating system before unplugging the cable.
