Štúdiový mikrofón Aston Origin

The Aston Origin is a cardioid condenser studio microphone with a one inch gold-evaporated capsule designed to deliver direct, smooth and intimate sound. With a sensitivity of 127 dB, a frequency response from 20 to 20,000 Hz and a signal-to-noise ratio of 76 dB, the Origin captures clear, natural audio for vocals and instruments. Its wired connectivity, metal housing in steel color and compact dimensions (54 mm width, 125 mm height, 5.4 cm diameter) make it suitable for a wide range of studio setups, from home project studios to professional rooms.

Advantages

The Origin pairs a hand-selected one-inch capsule with transformerless, high-quality circuitry and premium components to provide a pure, transparent sound that remains forgiving and easy to manage in a mix. Its cardioid polar pattern reduces off-axis noise and room reflections while the robust metal construction ensures durability for regular studio use. The microphone’s balanced performance on vocals and various instruments makes it a reliable all-round choice without excessive coloration.

How to use

Connect the Aston Origin to a microphone preamplifier or audio interface using a balanced XLR cable and provide appropriate phantom power if your setup requires it. Position the microphone with its capsule aimed at the sound source and maintain a suitable distance depending on the application: close to the mouth or instrument for intimate, direct capture, or slightly farther for more room ambience. Use the cardioid pattern to reduce unwanted room noise and experiment with placement and angle to find the most natural tonal balance. Monitor levels to avoid clipping and adjust preamp gain for a clean signal with headroom.

Recommendations

For vocals and fingerpicked acoustic guitar, begin with the mic 10–25 cm from the source and adjust by ear; for louder sources or sources with strong transients, increase distance or reduce preamp gain. Use a pop filter for close vocal work and consider a shock mount to minimise handling noise. Pair the Origin with a neutral-sounding preamp to preserve its natural character.
