Advantages

The HP 922752-421 Li-ion 18650 cell delivers a nominal 2.8Ah capacity in a standard 18650 form factor, allowing straightforward integration into compatible battery holders and laptop battery assemblies. As a rechargeable lithium-ion cell, it offers consistent discharge characteristics and is suitable for repeated charge/discharge cycles when used with appropriate charging and battery management systems. Its standard size and chemistry make it a practical choice for repairs, rebuilding battery packs, or use in devices designed for 18650 cells.

Suitable for

• Replacement cells in laptop battery packs that use 18650-format cells
• Repair or rebuilding of power tool battery packs and other multi-cell assemblies designed for 18650 cells
• Electronics projects and DIY devices that accept standard 18650 lithium-ion cells

Key specifications

• Cell type: Rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion)
• Form factor: 18650 cylindrical cell
• Nominal capacity: 2.8 Ah (2800 mAh)
• Intended use: Laptop battery packs and compatible electronic devices requiring 18650 cells

How to use

Install the HP 922752-421 18650 cell only into battery holders, packs, or devices designed for 18650 lithium-ion cells. When assembling or repairing a multi-cell battery pack, ensure correct cell orientation and secure electrical connections; cells should be matched for capacity and state of charge to maintain pack balance. Use an appropriate charger and a battery management system (BMS) that supports lithium-ion chemistry and the pack configuration to control charging, discharging, and cell balancing. Follow device or pack manufacturer's guidance for assembly and safety.

Recommendations

Handle lithium-ion cells with care: avoid short circuits, mechanical damage, exposure to high temperatures, or improper charging. Store cells in a cool, dry place at partial state of charge if not used long-term. Use protective circuitry and follow safety instructions of the device or battery pack manufacturer when assembling or replacing cells.
