BNC video konektor ShiverPeaks 98802-1 pre RG59, crimp, 75 Ω

The BNC Video Connector ShiverPeaks 98802-1 for RG59 is a crimp-style 75 Ω plug designed for terminating RG59 coaxial cable used in video and surveillance installations. It provides a standardized BNC interface for analog and digital video signals, ensuring electrical continuity and mechanical stability where reliable camera and monitor connections are required.

Advantages

This crimp connector is designed for straightforward installation with RG59 coaxial cable, offering consistent 75 Ω impedance to minimise signal reflections and maintain video quality. The mechanical crimp termination secures the conductor and shield, reducing the risk of intermittent contact and improving durability in fixed installations. Its BNC bayonet coupling provides a quick, lockable connection that is widely compatible with CCTV cameras, DVRs, monitors and signal converters.

Suitable for

• Surveillance and CCTV camera cabling
• Analog composite and digital video signal connections
• Security system installations and monitoring stations
• Repairing or extending existing RG59 video runs

Key specifications

• Connector type: BNC bayonet plug
• Termination method: crimp-style termination
• Compatible cable: RG59 coaxial cable
• Characteristic impedance: 75 Ω
• Signal: suitable for analog and digital video

How to use

Prepare the RG59 cable by stripping the outer jacket, exposing the braid and the dielectric to the recommended lengths for this crimp connector. Fold back the braid and position the centre conductor into the pin contact, then slide the connector body over the cable so the dielectric seats correctly. Use an appropriate crimp tool sized for the connector to compress the ferrule and secure the braid and cable jacket. Verify the centre contact is firmly seated and the bayonet coupling rotates and locks smoothly onto the mating socket.

Recommendations

Use a correctly sized coaxial stripper and a compatible crimp tool to achieve reliable electrical contact and mechanical retention. Verify continuity and impedance where possible after termination, and avoid excessive cable bending near the connector to maintain signal integrity.
