Cirkulárny polarizačný filter (CPL) Freewell pre DJI Mavic 4 Pro

The Freewell Circular Polarizer (CPL) filter for DJI Mavic 4 Pro is an optical accessory that mounts directly to the drone's camera lens to control reflections, reduce glare, and enhance color saturation in aerial photos and video. Designed specifically for the Mavic 4 Pro optical system, this CPL filter helps render deeper skies, richer foliage tones and improved contrast without altering exposure significantly. It is intended for landscape, travel and outdoor shooting where non-metallic reflections from water, glass or wet surfaces degrade image quality.

Advantages

The CPL filter reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and suppresses atmospheric haze to produce clearer distant detail. By selectively filtering polarized light, it improves color saturation and contrast, giving skies a more defined blue and foliage more natural greens. The circular design preserves autofocus and metering performance with the Mavic 4 Pro camera. The filter is lightweight and engineered to maintain the drone's balance and flight characteristics when fitted.

How to use

Attach the Freewell CPL to the Mavic 4 Pro camera according to the filter's mounting instructions, ensuring the filter is securely seated and the gimbal can move freely. While composing the shot, rotate the polarizer ring to adjust the level of polarization until reflections are minimized and sky or foliage tones reach the desired look. Because polarization changes with the angle to the sun, assess the effect by monitoring the live view on the remote controller and fine-tune rotation as you change drone position or orientation.

Recommendations

Use the CPL primarily when shooting at angles where polarized reflections are present—typically 30–90 degrees from the sun—such as water surfaces, wet rocks, glass facades and leafy areas. Avoid using a polarizer when photographing scenes with mixed lighting or when you need maximum light transmission for very low-light conditions. Store the filter in a protective case when not in use and clean the multi-coated glass with a soft lens cloth to maintain optical performance.
